
“Justice League” isn’t the only film Zach Snyder is putting away this year. Netflix announced upon Sunday that it will launch the director’s upcoming living dead film “Army of the Dead” on May 21, 8 weeks after the long-demanded “Snyder Cut” is set to hit HBO Utmost.
In a mashup of “Ocean’s Eleven” plus “Dawn of the Dead, ” “Army of the Dead” superstars Dave Bautista as the mind of a team of mercenaries that tries to steal numerous millions from a Vegas online casino during a zombie invasion. The particular film was first announced within 2008 as a sequel in order to Universal’s remake of “Dawn of the Dead, ” yet spent years in advancement hell before Netflix found the rights in 2019.

Along with directing, Snyder co-wrote “Army of the Dead” with Shay Hatten and Joby Harold. Starring alongside Bautista are usually Ella Purnell, Ana sobre la Reguera, Garret Dillahunt, Raúl Castillo, Omari Hardwick, Hiroyuki Sanada, Matthias Schweighöfer and Tig Notaro.
